TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These terms and conditions apply to all guests visiting Paradise Hot Springs and for those booking their ticket/package and other services/products at the website http://www.paradisehotspringscr.com and https://www.paradisehotsprings.net .
PRIVACY
To provide you with the features and benefits of online purchases with Paradise Hot Springs, we need to collect information from you through our website. We collect registration information that you provide when you book your package, including your first name and surname, country of residence, gender, date of birth, email address and more. The security and confidentiality of your information are extremely important to us; this information is handle with very high security procedure standards, by our Payment processing Company PlacetoPay by Evertec, PayPal and Paradise Hot Springs reservations department.
PAYMENTS
All bookings made through paradisehotspringscr.com or https://www.paradisehotsprings.net require full payment with a credit/debit card at the time of booking. All rates are quoted and presented in US dollars. In the case of lodging services, the prices are per room and do not include IVA (Added Value/Sales TAX Costa Rica). Prices quoted can change without notice. After payment has been made and/or an invoice has been issued, the price is guaranteed against any surcharge, unless a price increase is due to government laws or currency changes.
ONLINE PURCHASES
In order to make a purchase, you must have (1) 18 years or more, and (2) be able to enter into a binding contract with us and that no current law prevents you from doing so. In addition, you must ensure that all reservation information you provide to this website is true, accurate and complete, and you accept that it will be so at all times.
If a reservation is made for less than the real number of guests, the corresponding monetary difference indicated by the reception staff of Paradise Hot Springs will be charged at the time of check in.
When you book your lodging or other products at paradisehotspringscr.com or https://www.paradisehotsprings.net you will receive an e-mail service confirmation. For this reason, you must be sure to enter a valid, accurate and personal email address.
The identification of the holder can be requested at the entrance with the actual credit card that was used at the time of purchase and a valid photo Identity card.
AMENDING/CHANGING A PURCHASE/BOOKING
If you wish to make any changes to your confirmed booking. To amend a booking, please send us the request via e-mail to info@paradisehotspringscr.com and refer to your original booking confirmation number. Changes or modifications are subject to availability and cancellation policies.
CANCELLING A PURCHASE/BOOKING
All cancellations must be presented to Paradise Hot Springs in written, via e-mail, to the address info@paradisehotspringscr.com and mailed by the same e-mail address registered by the customer in the reservation platform. Prices and refunds are stated in United States Dollars.
Hotel Reservation Cancellations
Standard Rate: The guest can cancel free of charge until 14 days before arrival. The guest will be charged the total price if they cancel in the 14 days before arrival.
Exception:
Standard Rate (Applies for stays between May 16 and July 31 2020): The guest can cancel free of charge until 1 day before arrival. The guest will be charged the total price if they cancel the day before arrival.
The guest will be charged a prepayment of the total price of the reservation the day before arrival.
Additional cancellation clause
The hotel can also cancel your reservation 24 hours in advance and announce the impossibility of fulfilling the reservation due to government measures or to indirect consequences caused by these. The reservation will not be charged and the guest will be notified through the means of communication indicated in his/her reservation record.
Non Refundable Rate: No refunds are available for rooms under this rate plan.
Cancellation Exception: No charges will be made for reservations canceled within 24 hours of making the reservation.
Day Pass Reservation Cancellations
Paradise Hot Springs will always maintain a confirmation fee of 25% of the total amount, regardless of the time of cancellation. The exact penalties are detailed below, depending on the cancellation date (notice days are based on the arrival date).
This policy will only cover cancellations that are notified before the date of service. The amount will be determined according to the following specified time periods (A, B, C). Prices and reimbursements are expressed in US dollars.
In the event of a reservation cancellation, the refund will be generated according to the following guidelines:
- Cancellations of 15 calendar days or more in advance: The refund will be 75% of the total amount of service recorded on the invoice. Example: If $40 were paid; the refund will be of $30.
- Cancellations of 8 to 14 calendar days in advance: Refunds of 50% of the total amount of the service registered in the invoice. Example: If $40 were paid; the refund will be $ 20.
- Cancellation of 0 to 7 calendar days in advance: no refund. Reservations generated by our customers are of the highest priority; space blockages are performed immediately after every purchase.
Paradise Hot Springs, is a Geothermal Resort of limited capacity per day, this to give quality relaxing experiences to our guests; each reservation will generate an immediate blocking of space for a determined date, ensuring the required spaces, blocked by this official platform (www.paradisehotspringscr.com, https://www.paradisehotsprings.net, PlacetoPay by Evertec and Paypal credit card services).
Paradise Hot Springs, reserves the right to change or cancel all bookings and reservations in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control, such as equipment malfunction, natural hazards, unfavorable weather or outside conditions, or any other similar events that could result in the temporary closure of Paradise Hot Springs. If the booking is cancelled by Paradise Hot Springs due to any of these reasons, you will be entitled to either a full refund or change your booking to another date and/or departure without having to pay any change fee.
LIABILITY AND INSURANCE
Paradise Hot Springs, disclaims responsibility for any loss, damage, accidents, sickness or changes in schedule caused by weather, strikes or any other irregularity outside the company’s control and for expenses due to any of these reasons. All such losses and expenses are the personal liability of the guest.
We advise all our customers to have valid travel insurance. This insurance should be obtainable in your country of residence and usually covers cancellation fees and, to some extent, accidents that might occur.
In order to make your visit as enjoyable as possible, we also wish to draw your attention to the following:
- Guests enter Paradise Hot Springs, on their own responsibility and are responsible for children accompanying them.
- No responsibility is assumed by the establishment for any valuables the guests may have with them.
- The elderly must be supervised by another family member at all times.
- Children must be at all times under an adult’s supervision.
- Be aware of temperature and depth markings at all times.
- Glassware is not permitted within the pool area.
- Running in common areas and diving is prohibited. We recommend acting and walking with caution since areas can be wet and slippery.
- Enter the pools only through entrance zones, not through bed, borders, or other areas.
- Using attractions higher than 36ºC/96ºF is not recommended for children younger than 12.
- Individuals assume the risk for any injuries sustained while using pool facilities.
- We recommend you to wait at least an hour after eating to enter the pools and jacuzzis.
- We do not recommend staying for more than 10 continuous minutes inside the thermal pools higher than 37ºC/97ºF.
- If you are under medication, pregnant or have a special condition or disease please ask your doctor for the usage guidelines of the thermal pools. People who have been drinking alcohol are not allowed to use the pools.
- Those presenting contagious skin conditions must not use the pool facilities.
- Smoking is prohibited in all areas.
- Please do not stay in pools or jacuzzis during lightning episodes.
- Plant extraction or manipulation is prohibited.
- Please follow staff instructions in case of emergency or volcanic activity. Always locate evacuation routes.
- Those who have suffered heart attacks or suffer from hypertension should not use the thermal water facilities.
- For your safety, drunken people or people under on medication that might suppress their reaction capacity should not use the pools.
- Please be aware that floors, walkways and bridges may be slippery and/or wet in places.
- Diving is not allowed.
- All guest, women and men must wear proper bathing suits, of polyester or any other fabric designed for water, cotton fabric is not allowed.
- Children who are not toilet trained must wear disposable swimpants.
- Guests may not bring food or drinks for consumption on any place of the property other than the rooms.
- We ask our guests to shower without their bathing-suits before entering the geothermal water attractions.
- Please take your towel with you when going to the shower room and dry yourself before re-entering the changing rooms in order to keep the floor dry in them.
- Please take off your shoes before entering the changing-rooms.
- We recommend wearing a shower cap in the pools and/or apply conditioner to the hair after bathing.
- In the different attractions, It is recommended that guests take regular breaks/contrast, to cool down body temperature. To help the body keep blood pressure in a healthy parameter, this can be very easy accomplished, by taking the thorax out of the water and waiting five minutes before entering again (contrast with air), or second alternative, is to submerge the thorax in cool spring water of 27°C (81°F), and cool down for 3 minutes.
PROPERTY POLICIES (FOR HOTEL AND ACCOMMODATION SERVICES)
Please read throughly the following policies and conditions:
- Check in is at 3:00pm, Check out is at 12:00 md. If you wish to extend the check-out time, an additional fee equal to 30% of your room rate will be charged for extensions until 3:00 p.m., 50% for extensions until 6:00 p.m., and an additional fee equal to the full room rate for checking-out after 6:00 p.m.
- Refund policies (for more information, please ask for the refund policy document at the front desk) apply for requested cancellations (via email) done with at least 14 natural days in advance from check in date. Within the 14 natural days prior to check in date, rates are non refundable (Refunds are not accepted during the stay or /nor after check out). Last minute night modifications result in 100% penalty.
- It is strictly forbidden to smoke inside room and property. Penalty for smoking inside the room: USD $100, no exception.
- The guest is responsible for the possession of the key of his/her room (s) at all times. The Hotel does not assume any responsibility for consequences derived from lost or unattended room keys.
- The guest has at his/her disposal a safe installed in his room for the purpose of safeguarding his/her valuables. The Hotel does not assume responsibility for the loss of valuables that were not properly guarded in this box. For values over $ 2000 (Two thousand dollars USD) the hotel puts at the guest’s disposal a custody service, please request this service during the check in to the receptionist.
- The entrance and use of facilities/rooms is for registered guests only. Other non-registered visitors are not allowed in the rooms or hot springs without making a prior notice to the front desk and without paying the respective service fee.
- There is a fee for lost items (excluding complimentary amenities) or damages made to the room. All incidentals will be charged during check out to the guest. This includes and it is not limited to makeup and harsh dirt stains made to towels or bed sheets.
- Breakfast Schedule is from 7:00am to 9:30am. Please inform front desk if you want to have an early breakfast.
- Mini bar is not included. If you wish to have it, you must notify and leave a backup card at the front desk.
- Purchases in the bar must be paid to the bartender at the time of consumption if no backup card was left during checkout.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Main gate closes at 9pm, please inform reception if you are planning to arrive after that time to arrange opening the gate for you. In case of early check out, please inform the front desk the day before.
- Pools, bars and restaurant are open between 11am to 9pm. Azalia Restaurant is open for breakfast (7am to 9:30am).
- The hotel offers free WiFi to guests.
- Reception is open from 7am to 9pm, you can text us through our Whatsapp or iMessage phone number: +506 88100-123 between these hours. In case of emergency, please call our 24h phone number: +506 2479-1380.
- Daily maid service is included for stays equal or greater than 2 nights. This service will be always performed unless you leave the “Do not disturb”sign on your door or inform the front desk about it.
GENERAL PROVISIONS
You agree that any claim, action or lawsuit arising out of these terms and conditions and/or the services/products purchased, shall be interpreted and governed in conformity with Costa Rican law. For any legal dispute which may arise, both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction and competence of the Judges and Courts of Ciudad Quesada de San Carlos, Alajuela, Costa Rica.
